Clinical Supervisor Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) to provide high-quality therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The OTA will assist in implementing treatment plans to help patients regain independence in their daily living activities and improve overall function.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions in patients' homes based on the individualized treatment plan developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Assist patients in performing therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising OT. Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve function and safety at home. Provide training in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Adhere to all applicable laws and ethical standards, including HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current certification and state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Texas. CPR certification. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Prior experience in home health or a similar setting preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently while following treatment plans and safety protocols.
Working Conditions:
Frequent travel to patient homes within a specified service area. Physically demanding work including patient transfers and use of therapeutic equipment. Must be comfortable working in varied home environments and flexible with scheduling.
