In this role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement therapy plans tailored to pediatric patients. Your energetic approach and dedication will support children in developing essential skills, fostering independence, and improving their quality of life. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in delivering therapy services to pediatric patients across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and home health environments Support children in activities that promote development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks Help implement individualized care plans by preparing materials and setting up therapeutic activities tailored to each child's needs Aid children with activities related to ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), such as dressing, grooming, and feeding, encouraging independence Monitor patient progress and document observations accurately to inform ongoing treatment strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and caregivers to ensure cohesive care delivery Maintain a safe and engaging environment that motivates children to participate actively in therapy sessions Skills Strong knowledge of pediatrics, including developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques Familiarity with assisting children with ADLs and implementing care plans effectively Experience working in home health, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or skilled nursing facilities with pediatric populations Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care Ability to adapt therapy approaches for acute care settings or outpatient environments based on individual needs Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate and energetic attitude Knowledge of medical imaging procedures or occupational health considerations is a plus but not required This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to support children's growth through hands-on therapy assistance.
