Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time & Per Diem AVIR at Kerrville 155 Bandera Highway Kerrville, TX 78028 About Us AVIR at Kerrville is a patient-centered rehabilitation and wellness facility dedicated to delivering high-quality, individualized care. Our team works collaboratively to help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities in a supportive and compassionate environment. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in both full-time and per diem roles. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care and works effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) Instruct patients in therapeutic activities to enhance strength, coordination, and independence Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the Occupational Therapist Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current Texas COTA license (or eligibility) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
Employment Types Full-Time:
Consistent schedule with benefits eligibility The starting hourly rate is $34.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate's experience level
