We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or (OTA) to join our team in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in a home health setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), the OTA will play a vital role in enhancing patients' independence and daily living skills through individualized care.Key Responsibilities:
Schedule, plan activities and provide rehabilitative services for occupational therapy?services following the Plan of Care outlined by a licensed Occupational Therapist Maintain adequate records on all patients, including summary reports. Follow agency documentation timelines as published in Employee Handbook.? Utilize community resources and Agency personnel for proper referral? Be supervised by a licensed OT as outlined by Executive Council for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE). Collaborate with other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patient in improving, correcting, and accepting his/her disabilities? Attend monthly case conferences meetings and additional meetings as requested? Participate in staff development activities and in-service education as requested? Confirm schedule at least one week prior to the upcoming visits and adjust schedule as changes occur.? Communicate and correspond with office staff in a timely manner.? Notify Agency of absences due to illness, emergency leave, normal vacation periods, or special professional meetings, which will all affect agreed services with the Agency.?Requirements:
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program. Current Texas license or certification by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing. Minimum of one (1) year of supervised clinical experience preferred (new graduates are encouraged to apply). Employees are required to provide and maintain their own reliable mobile device and/or computer capable of supporting company systems and applications. Consistent access to secure, high-speed internet is also required to perform job responsibilities effectively. Employees must have access to a reliable personal vehicle to fulfill job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and current motor vehicle insurance meeting state requirements must be maintained at all times. Employees must maintain a driving record that is acceptable in accordance with company policy and any applicable insurance requirements.
