SW GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This position is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services to children for acquisition and mastery of functional skills in order to reduce or overcome limitations resulting from disabilities or developmental delays. This position carries out treatment plans, documents progress and required processes, educates families and community partners and collaborates with physicians and other care providers. Services are clinic-based in both individual and group settings.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position requires face to face interactions with staff, board, vendors, and the general public on a daily basis to accomplish all essential functions of the position.INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPY
Provides direct therapy services, in accordance with the treatment plan, to children with disabilities or developmental delays by providing hands on therapy and providing families and caregivers appropriate strategies which help the child participate in their community. Implements the treatment plan based on the results of the evaluation/assessment ensuring the goals of the requested services to be provided are directed at improving, adapting, restoring, or maintaining functions which have been lost or impaired due to a recent illness, injury, loss of body part or congenital abnormality or as a result of developmental delay or the presence of a chronic medical condition. Upon initiation of therapy and throughout the episode of care, COTA must provide education and training of the client's caregivers by developing and instructing them in a home treatment program to promote effective carryover of the therapy program and management of safety issues. Services will be provided in individual settings. Therapist is responsible for providing total number of authorized visits or units during the authorization period including makeup of missed visits. The therapist documents all services within the required timelines and in compliance with documentation standards set by the agency, Medicaid and private insurance rules and regulations. Complete weekly reporting in Objective Management System (OMS).OTHER FUNCTIONS
Participates in monthly team meetings, discipline, agency, and staffing meetings to ensure family and child outcomes are met and required information is secured. (3%) Other duties to support the delivery and quality of services that are provided to Brighton families. (2%)QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Degreed and current Texas Licensure in Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access as well as Adobe.Preferred:
Prior experience in ECI, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a family-centered service organization. Bilingual in Spanish.NECESSARY SKILLS

Ensure services are being provided as stated on the POC. OT will provide a minimum of the daily impact rate (DIR) on all days worked. This includes direct service of treatment. Expectation will be measured on the Average Visits per Day Summary report.Expectation:
6-6.6 Daily Impact Rate 25% Parent Satisfaction Ensure that services and effective coaching is provided to families. This performance indicator will be reported from the "Satisfaction Survey". The survey will be sent to parents on a semester basis. Expectation score of 3-4.74. 25% Timely and Accurate Documentation Ensure that all paperwork deadlines are met so services can be billed in a timely manner. Daily notes are due by the following business day by 11:59 pm. All evaluation notes must be submitted by five business days of evaluation completion. Expectation will be measured on the Paperwork %.Expectation:
90-100% 25% Service Continuity Ensure there are no gaps in service by scheduling any re-evaluations in a timely manner with the supervising OT (at least one month prior to expiration). This will be measured through myEvolv report.Expectation:
