Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) specializing in skilled nursing facilities (SNF). In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver exceptional patient care, helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and those recovering from acute care or outpatient procedures. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), developing care plans, and applying physiology and anatomy knowledge will make a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and safety during therapy sessions. Implement and modify individualized care plans under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists. Support patients across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, and home health settings to achieve therapy goals. Utilize your understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to accurately document progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Contribute to patient assessments by gathering relevant information related to geriatrics, pediatrics, and general rehabilitation needs. Help facilitate therapy sessions that incorporate medical imaging insights when applicable to enhance treatment strategies. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure all patient interactions prioritize safety and dignity. Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Proven experience working in skilled nursing facilities (SNF), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to therapy practices. Experience assisting with ADLs across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery and independence. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, or inpatient facilities while maintaining attention to detail. $1,650.00 - $1,750.00 per week
