Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Onsite Senior Living Community Williamsburg, VA 23185 Part-time, Full-time, PRN, Contract Part-time, Full-time, PRN, Contract Elevate Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our growing rehabilitation team serving residents within a senior living community. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with seniors, helping them maintain independence, improve function, and enhance their quality of life. Position Summary The Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide treatment services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). The OTA will assist residents in achieving their functional goals through individualized therapy interventions focused on daily living skills, safety, mobility, and overall independence. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Assist residents with improving:

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Upper extremity strength and coordination Balance and fall prevention Functional mobility Cognitive and safety awareness Adaptive equipment training Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising OT. Accurately complete treatment documentation and daily treatment notes. Participate in resident care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings as requested. Maintain compliance with facility, state, and Medicare Part B requirements. Educate residents and caregivers on safety techniques and home exercise programs as directed by the OT. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Virginia Occupational Therapy Assistant license. CPR certification preferred. Experience working with older adults preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with the supervising Occupational Therapist and facility staff.
