Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and current certification as a COTA Valid license to practice as a COTA in Washington State, or eligibility to obtain Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is preferred Strong collaborative abilities, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, educators, and families Adaptable and proactive with time management and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions and services in alignment with student IEP goals under the supervision of OTs Assist in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs Facilitate activities to enhance sensory processing, fine motor skills, social participation, and independence Collect data and document progress, communicating updates to supervising OTs and school team members Support classroom teachers with strategies and tools that promote student participation and access Participate in team meetings, providing valuable input on student growth and program planning
