Position:
PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Eden Vista of Green Bay an Assisted Living facility, is now hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide rehabilitation services in one or more of our service locations!
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Communicate resident progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct resident's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs. Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist Communicates with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition. Skills Proven working experience as occupational therapist Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale) Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Valid licensee to practice occupational therapy BS degree or greater in occupational therapy Reasons to join
