Job Description

Overview:
Join our team at Accurate Vision Clinic as an Optometric Technician and play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care services. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for patient care and a strong background in optical services.
Duties:
  • Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Assist optometrists with patient care, including teaching contact lens insertion and removal.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation
  • Provide support in retail sales of eyewear and optical products
  • Assisting front desk duties as needed to include appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing
  • Apply knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to assist in patient education
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an optometry or optical setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical coding systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in utilizing optical equipment and tools
