Scrub Technician US Heart & Vascular - 3.3 Birmingham, AL Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Surgical instrument sterilization and handling Full Job Description US Heart and Vascular in needing a Scrub Tech to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic in Birmingham AL.
Responsibilities:
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for vein procedures Assist physicians and nurses during vein treatments. And procedures Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions Prepare and position patients for procedures Apply compression wraps, stockings, and post-procedure dressings Monitor patient comfort and report any changes in condition to clinical staff Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record Schedule procedures, follow-up appointments, and diagnostic testing Clean and sterilize instruments and procedure rooms according to policy Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED required Minimum 1-2 years of medical assistant experience preferred Experience in vascular, surgical, interventional or vein clinic setting preferred Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural assisting Excellent patient service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting About Birmingham Birmingham, Alabama, is a city with a rich history and a dynamic present, situated in the heart of the Southern United States.
