Our team is united by a shared commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care. We are currently seeking a positive, experienced, and energetic ophthalmic technician to join our growing team. Prior experience in an ophthalmology practice is preferred, and COA/COT certification and contact lens experience are a plus. Candidates selected for interviews will complete an onsite skills assessment. This position may require travel to satellite offices based on clinic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient work-ups, including medical and ocular history, chief complaint, visual acuities, lensometry, EOMs, pupil assessment, refraction, slit lamp exams, tonometry, and instillation of eye drops. Demonstrate strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, diseases, and medications. Accurately document in EHR systems and maintain computer proficiency. Provide professional, courteous interaction with patients and coworkers. Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualities:
COA or COT certification (preferred, not required) Experience with contact lens fitting Proficient in manual refraction High attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication Strong initiative and adaptability to change Consistent, compassionate care and a positive team presence
