In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care and support in a clinical setting through working up patients and performing diagnostic testing for the doctor. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, can communicate effectively, is very personable, and works well with technology. Duties Perform diagnostic testing for comprehensive eye exams and medical follow ups. Check visual acuities, peripheral vision, intraocular pressure, muscle movements, eye alignment, color vision, and stereopsis. Instill drops in patient's eyes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care. Prepare charts for the day's patient exams. Train patients on contact lens wear. Maintain stock in exam rooms and contact lens room. Assist with correspondence letters for referrals. Collaborate with colleagues and doctor to provide personalized, high-level care. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements Previous experience in patient care or a related field is ideal but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology is ideal but not required. Familiarity with medical records management systems is an asset. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients at all times. We are excited to grow our team!
