ASAP Pay Rate:
$135000.00 - $145000.00 About the Role A community health center is seeking an Optometrist to join an established eye care program and provide comprehensive optometry services in a mission-driven, patient-centered setting. This position will primarily support a newer West Bank vision center (approximately 3 miles from New Orleans proper) and will work collaboratively with clinic leadership and support staff to deliver high-quality care to the community.Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch.No call / no weekends:
No weekend clinic and no call responsibilities.Patient volume:
Approximately 15-18 patients per day.Clinical mix:
Roughly half routine exams (glasses and contact lenses) and half medical visits (e.g., glaucoma management, eyelid growths, conjunctivitis/pink eye, and related concerns).Scope of practice:
Opportunity to perform procedures consistent with your training and comfort; refer to specialists when outside scope.Team support:
Supported by a technician and front-desk staff; provider practices independently on-site.Program leadership:
Collaborate with an experienced, longstanding lead optometrist within the program.Benefits:
