Part-Time We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and patient-focused Optometric Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing optometry practice located inside Costco in Antioch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is eager to learn new skills. As a key member of our team, you will help create an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive until they leave the office. You will assist with both front desk operations and clinical support, working closely with the doctor to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Patient Services Greet patients warmly and professionally Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries Schedule and confirm appointments Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Process patient payments and maintain accurate records Manage patient check-in and check-out Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment Clinical & Optical Support Perform patient pre-testing and preliminary exam workups Assist the doctor with various aspects of patient care Operate diagnostic equipment and learn new clinical technologies Administer contact lens insertion and removal training Notify patients when orders arrive and assist with pickups Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic computer proficiency Previous experience in healthcare, optometry, retail, or customer service is helpful but not required What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, and enjoys helping people.
