Job Description

We are a growing Optometry office looking for a full-time Optometric Technician, including some Saturdays . A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and top-notch work ethic are required. The office is looking for someone who is excited to engage with people and has a passion for patient care. On the job training is provided .
Duties:
  • Perform preliminary tests and measurements on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision tests.
  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and chief complaints.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by the optometrist.
  • Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems.
  • Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting payments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
Requirements :
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

$18.00
