Full Job Description Job Overview:
The Becker Group in a single physician practice. Dr. Bruce Becker is a board certified oculoplastic surgeon who has made significant contributions in not only the field of medicine, but also teaching and research. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated pre-med/pre-health person to work as a Technician/Medical Assistant for our small team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to medical scribing, patient care, and front desk operations. This is an entry level position, however knowledge of NextGen software, medical billing, anatomy, and ophthalmology is a plus. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.Responsibilities:
- Utilize NextGen software to input and update patient information
- Perform scribing under the physician
- Assist with patient care, including taking vital signs and providing support during examinations
- Assist with the setting up, performance, and clean up of office surgical procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and managing paperwork
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations within the clinic
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal skills for providing exceptional patient care
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Openness to learn and grow We are looking to hire someone part-time/full-time who can commit to this role for a minimum of 1.
