- and post-operative instructions as directed by physicians Check temperature of medical refrigerator daily Maintain and conduct inventory of medications and supplies Assist with maintenance of clinical examination equipment Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing Inspect instruments periodically for damage, send for repair, and request a replacement, as necessary Open and close exam lanes daily, ensuring that equipment is wiped down in an appropriate manner and as per office procedures, battery powered instruments are seated properly in re-charging wells, slit lamps and projectors are switched off under covers Follow all safety procedures as per guidelines Prioritize building and maintaining a positive relationship with doctors and clinical colleagues Executes duties of position in a professional and courteous manner Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner Perform other tasks and duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, managers, and doctors Basic computer literacy required Highly energetic with a positive attitude Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly lit setting Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred Certified Ophthalmic Scribe (OSC) preferred Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred One to two years' experience in multi-specialty clinic preferred In Turn We Will Provide Benefits to full-time team members that include comprehensive medical, dental and optical coverage, 401K and short•and long-term disability Company paid life insurance Paid holidays and generous paid time off Paid parking where applicable Team oriented working environment where you are heard and respected Clear career ladder opportunities Offered pay: $21•23 per hour.
