We are looking for someone who has prior experience working in an optometry or ophthalmology office and is comfortable working in both administrative and clinical support roles. Position Overview This role is a hybrid position that includes patient-facing front desk responsibilities as well as optometric technician duties. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities Front Desk Duties:

Schedule and manage patient appointments Check patients in and out efficiently and professionally Verify and update insurance eligibility and benefits Collect co-pays and manage basic billing workflows Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries Clinical /

Technician Duties:

Perform preliminary testing (autorefraction, visual acuity, etc.) Assist doctors with patient flow and clinical documentation support Conduct contact lens trainings and insertion/removal education Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment readiness Ensure a smooth patient experience from intake through discharge Qualifications Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office required Familiarity with EHR systems and insurance verification processes preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude Comfortable working both front desk and clinical support roles What We Offer Supportive and professional team environment Opportunity to grow within the field of optometry Hands-on clinical experience Competitive compensation based on experience If you are passionate about patient care and have experience in an optometry setting, we would love to hear from you.
