Job Description
A well-established ophthalmology practice, focused on delivery of medical and surgical retina care, is seeking an experienced technician who can multitask and when needed, support the front desk staff. Ability to integrate into our team oriented approach, to insure our patients receive the best possible care is extremely critical Reliability is very important and candidate must provide an upbeat and "can do" attitude with a warm smile. One-two year medical assistant experience is mandatory. This is a great opportunity for a well-organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated person towards a permanent position. Multilingual (Spanish) and computer skills is necessary. As an ophthalmic assistant you will work with physicians and clerical staff to facilitate the efficient daily flow of patients. You will fulfill multiple functions such as acquiring health histories from patients, measuring vision, assisting physicians with procedures and performing diagnostic tests. You will also assist by returning phone calls, obtaining insurance authorization and checking insurance eligibility whenever needed.
