In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and care. Responsibilities Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and conducting preliminary tests. Perform various clinical tasks, including managing medical records and ensuring accurate documentation. Handle medical billing and coding for insurance claims while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic and optical areas. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Requirements Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of ophthalmic practices and procedures is a plus. Proficiency in managing medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
