We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team. Locations Primary Location - 651 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, Ca 95825 Satellite Location - 5 Medical Plaza Dr Ste 280, Roseville, Ca 95661 Position Summary The Ophthalmic Technician plays a critical role in supporting physicians and patients throughout the clinical visit. Responsibilities include patient workups, diagnostic testing, documentation, and assisting with efficient patient flow. This position requires travel to our Roseville location as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtain and document patient histories Perform visual acuity testing and preliminary examinations Prepare patients for physician evaluation Perform diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic testing as assigned Accurately document information within the electronic medical record Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Provide patient education and instructions regarding treatment plans and follow-up care Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies Support clinic operations while maintaining a high standard of patient service Qualifications Required Minimum two (2) years of ophthalmology experience Experience performing patient workups and ophthalmic diagnostic testing Strong computer and documentation skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Experience performing refractions Experience with cataract and refractive surgery patients Experience with OCT, visual fields, Petacam and fundus photography Experience using an electronic medical record system Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) Professional and supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and development Qualified candidates with prior ophthalmology experience are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
