Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
In accordance with established departmental standards, guidelines and protocols, assists the medical staff in examining and caring for children with eye problems. Performs skilled eye examinations which include, but are not limited to: medical history, age appropriate visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, orthoptics, and instillation of eye drops. Works with clinical staff to insure efficient clinical flow and excellent clinical environments. Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent 1 Year of Experience Certified Ophthalmic Technician Strong interpersonal skills Displays consistent professionalism The ability to multi-task Knowledge of PC functionality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree 2 Years of Experience Previous experience, certification or training in this or similar position is strongly preferred The current salary range for this position is $29.61 to $41.18 A candidate's placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
