Job Description

We are looking for a new team player to join the family as an optometric technician. Our ideal candidate is someone who is excited to work with the public in a healthcare and retail atmosphere, understands the patient always comes first, and has the ability to multitask while focusing on the small details. This position will require someone with excellent time management skills and someone who is dependable. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Optometric technician 35-40 hours/week, with health insurance and retirement benefits.
WILLING TO TRAIN JOB DUTIES
Greet patients, check patients in and out for their appointment. Assist patients with scheduling appointments via email, phone and in person Collect copays and balances for patients Answer phones and assist patients with inquiries regarding orders and appointments. Verify patient's insurance and assist patients with understanding their benefits Assist patients with pre-examination testing Assist patients with obtaining their medical records Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the office Proficiency in MS Windows Able to type 40 WPM Ability to sit/stand for entire shift Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items 20 pounds on a regular basis All other duties assigned by the office manager
