  • Full-time Job Overview Join our rapidly growing retina-only ophthalmology practice as an ophthalmic technician!
This position will work primarily out of our Highlands Ranch and Centennial locations. In this position, you will play an important role in the care of our patients by performing initial work up exams prior to being seen by the physician. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly professional, technologically advanced setting while making a meaningful difference in patients' vision health. Responsibilities Prepare patients to be seen by the retina specialist by performing visual acuity, introcular pressure, dilation, and retinal imaging. Review medical history and ensure proper documentation in the EHR system. Prepare patients for in-office procedues such as intravitreal injections. Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment to perform specialized tests such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, and fluorescein angiography Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately, including Nextech and other EMR platforms, ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are upheld Provide direct patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout the exam process Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Travel between offices as necessary, reliable personal transportation is required. Experience Prior experience working in an ophthalmology or optometry setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment Willingness to learn via on-the-job training and initiative to further knowledge in the ophthalmic/retina field.
