Smoky Hill Eye Care is a small, independent optometry practice dedicated to building genuine relationships with our patients. We believe in providing personalized care that makes each individual feel truly special. We are looking for a dynamic Optical Assistant who is eager to utilize their skills across multiple areas of our practice, from the optical floor to the front desk and pre-testing. If you are a quick learner who loves connecting with people and takes pride in keeping a clinic running smoothly, you will fit right in!

You are a dependable team player who easily shifts gears between helping a patient select frames, answering the phones, and working up a patient for the doctor.

You have a welcoming personality that puts patients at ease and makes them feel appreciated.

Experience:

At least 1 year of optical experience is required. Bring the foundation you have, and we will cross-train and build upon your skills!

Availability:

Must be able to work on Saturdays (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM).

Your Responsibilities:

Optician Duties:

Educating patients on lens options, assisting with frame styling and selection, dispensing, and adjustments.

Technician Duties:

Guiding patients through pre-testing, operating diagnostic equipment, and preparing them to see the doctor.

Front Desk & Administration:

Scheduling appointments, warmly checking patients in and out, and verifying both Vision and Medical insurance details.
