Job Description

Northern Connecticut Eye Associates, LLC is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated ophthalmic technician to join our team. We are open to full-time and/or part-time applicants and may hire more than one person. We offer a positive, supportive, and professional work environment with a friendly team atmosphere. Ophthalmology or optometry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position will primarily involve ophthalmic technician duties, but will also include some front desk responsibilities as needed, such as checking patients in or out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and helping with other patient-service tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing patients for eye exams and taking medical/ocular histories Performing vision testing and other preliminary testing Assisting with diagnostic testing such as OCT, visual fields, and fundus photography Entering information accurately into the medical record Helping maintain smooth patient flow Assisting at the front desk when needed Ideal candidates will be: Friendly, professional, and patient-focused Reliable, punctual, and motivated Detail-oriented and comfortable using computers Able to work well in a team environment Flexible and willing to help where needed Prior eye care experience is a plus, but not required. We are happy to train someone with the right personality, work ethic, and interest in patient care.
Schedule, Pay, and Benefits:
Competitive pay, commensurate with experience, training, and qualifications Monday to Friday daytime schedule, typically between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM, depending on the day's patient schedule No nights or weekends Closed and paid for federal holidays, subject to office policy Paid time off 401(k) with employer match, after eligibility requirements are met Profit sharing, after eligibility requirements are met

$17.75 - $19.75 per hour
