More specifically, you are: Warm, welcoming, and empathetic — someone who puts patients at ease A quick learner who is comfortable with computers and can type efficiently A strong communicator and collaborative team player with a positive attitude Detail-oriented, with excellent proofreading and documentation skills A self-motivated problem solver who takes initiative What You'll Do Clinical Duties Work up patients prior to their exam: gather medical history, measure visual acuity, and complete other entrance testing as directed Perform ophthalmic testing including autorefraction, non-contact tonometry, retinal photography, visual fields, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) — full training provided. Scribe during exams and prepare charts for the doctor to review and complete Educate patients on contact lens insertion and removal - full training provided. Assist the doctor in preparing for procedures. Administrative & Coordination Maintain accurate patient records using Revolution EHR Assist with drafting referral and report letters to other medical providers Send medication prescriptions and complete prior authorization requests Keep equipment sanitized and exam areas clean and organized Maintain a well-stocked office with medical supplies and contact lenses Team Support Cross-train in front desk and optical sales roles to support colleagues and provide coverage as needed throughout the day Experience & Qualifications Prior experience in eyecare or a clinical setting is strongly preferred, but we're happy to train the right candidate. College graduates who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees in a healthcare such as PA, MD, OD, and nursing programs are welcome to apply — this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive, professional environment.
