Ophthalmic Scribe/Technician Crestview, FL 32536 $17

  • Full-time We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time employee to fill our scribe/technician position.
You would be assisting the physician with documentation of the patient's medical record. The scribe accompanies the physician into the exam room to transcribe the exam, impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions, etc. The scribe/technician will also do testing as needed (visual field testing and OCTs) and will dilate patients as well. A scribe/tech will work up patients as needed. We are a small, but fast-growing pediatric ophthalmic office with one physician. A scribe or ophthalmic technician certification is preferred. Communications skills are a must have. Computer skills are a must have.
These duties may include:
Perform testing (will train) Calling in or escribe prescription refills Communicate with patient about test results, medication issues, referral questions etc. Send out chart notes. Working the tech in-box Assist with in-office procedures. Other duties assigned.
