Job DescriptionJob Description Ophthalmic Technicians plays a crucial role in supporting eye care professionals by conducting various patient screenings and diagnostic tests. Working within both large multidisciplinary teams and smaller specialized groups, these technicians utilize advanced imaging technologies and standard diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate patient assessments. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and cross-training in a dynamic, high-volume clinical environment. Responsibilities Conduct patient screenings and visual acuity testingOperate ophthalmic instruments and advanced imaging technologyPerform diagnostic testing including tonometry and retinoscopyPrepare patients for examination and surgical proceduresRecord and maintain accurate patient data in electronic medical recordsMaintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipmentEducate patients on procedures and eye careCollaborate with multidisciplinary and specialized clinical teamsAssist in appointment coordination and patient flow management Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in ophthalmic technologyCertified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT)Proficient in visual acuity testing, OCT imaging, tonometry, and retinoscopyStrong patient communication and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systemsExcellent attention to detail and time management abilitiesCompany DescriptionIronclad & Co. is a people‐first workforce solutions firm committed to helping businesses grow and individuals succeed.
