Duties:
```
  • Perform preliminary eye examinations and tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception.
  • Assist ophthalmologists in diagnostic procedures
  • Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and test results.
  • Operate ophthalmic equipment such as tonometers, autorefractors, and visual field machines.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.

Requirements:
```
  • Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmic systems and equipment.
  • Understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology.
  • Proficient in maintaining aseptic technique during procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes is a plus.
