```Duties:
```- Perform preliminary eye examinations and tests, including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception.
- Assist ophthalmologists in diagnostic procedures
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and test results.
- Operate ophthalmic equipment such as tonometers, autorefractors, and visual field machines.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Requirements:
```- Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology.
- Familiarity with ophthalmic systems and equipment.
- Understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology.
- Proficient in maintaining aseptic technique during procedures.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes is a plus.
