In this role, you will assist optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to patients. You will be responsible for performing various technical tasks, ensuring smooth patient experience, and supporting the overall operations of the optometry practice.
Responsibilities:
Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and conducting preliminary tests. Measure visual acuity, perform retinoscopy, and conduct tonometry and other diagnostic tests as required. Obtain and record patient medical histories and ocular health information. Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of all diagnostic equipment. Educate patients on eye care, glasses, contact lenses, and post-examination procedures. Manage patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. Handle billing and insurance verification processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Certification as an optometric technician in healthcare setting preferred Previous experience as an optometric technician required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other office software. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Hours:
