  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in an ophthalmology setting. You will assist with various clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of service and care.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in an ophthalmology practice or eye clinic. Preferred but not required
  • 1. A two-year college degree 2. Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician
  • Responsibilities:
  • 1.
Assist ophthalmologists in clinical surgery procedures and treatments and outpatient surgical procedures. 2. Prepares patients for exams, routine procedures, and outpatient surgical procedures. 3. Take patient medical histories, documents patients' ocular, medical, and family history. 4. Instruct patients regarding medications, tests, and procedures. 5. Perform screening and diagnostic testing and assessments under the direction of the Ophthalmologists. 6. Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment. 7. Sterilize surgical instruments for procedures. 8. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:
  • 1. Proficient in performing diagnostic tests and using ophthalmic equipment. 2. Knowledge of diagnostic ophthalmic equipment, clinical lab functions 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 4. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Hours Tuesday
  • Friday 8am
  • 5pm
