The ideal candidate must be proactive and customer service oriented with the availability to work full time hours including some evenings during the week. Duties and responsibilities for this unique opportunity include but are not limited to: Perform and document medical history review through NextGen EHR system Prepare patients for all treatments Prepare and position patients for diagnostic testing Perform a variety of testing such as Lenstar, fundus photos, OCTs, visual fields, topography, and refraction Answer patient phone calls Assist physician in the patient flow Assist with patient prescriptions Clean and sterilize instruments Order medical supplies Assist in scheduling surgeries Help with clerical duties
Minimum Qualifications:
The qualified candidate for this position should have a minimum of 1-2 years of Ophthalmic Technician experience or a combination of experience and certification. The candidate should also possess the following: strong English communication skills (Spanish is a plus), professional demeanor and attitude, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with diplomacy, tact, and confidence. Organization skills and attention to details are very important for this position. You should be a happy, personable individual who enjoys interacting and assisting patients and other staff.
