All skills and responsibilities will be taught during training. Main responsibility is pre-testing patients prior to the eye doctor seeing the patient. Pre-testing includes chief complaint, medical/ocular history, and some other additional vision tests. Additional responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling patients, checking in/out patients, and assisting the front desk with other tasks. Looking for someone that is eager to learn, enjoys working with people and has a positive attitude. Ideal for someone looking to gain experience in the Optometry or medical field. Qualifications
- No experience required
- Knowledge of ophthalmology, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Experience in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
