Job Description

Optometry Technician We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Optometry Technician to join our team at West Broward Eyecare. Our ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Welcome and prepare patients for examinations Obtain patient medical histories and update records Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, and retinal imaging (Optos) Assist the doctor during patient exams as needed Train patients on contact lenses insertion and removal Perform additional testing as needed including visual field, OCT scans, topography mapping, etc. Support front desk operations and scheduling when necessary
Qualifications:
Positive and professional attitude Previous experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare preferred Excellent communication, phone, and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment Experience with EHR systems and diagnostic equipment is a plus Strong typing/computer skills High school diploma or equivalent required
Bonus:
