Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time ophthalmic assistant/technician to join our world-class team! The ophthalmic technician position exists to care for the patient, perform tests and necessary imaging as required, and assist the doctors in their clinics with patient care. Great benefits, and world-class Physicians make for a fantastic work environment! Apply today! Responsibilities Conduct preliminary eye examinations and gather patient medical histories. Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity tests, tonometry, and retinal imaging. Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques during procedures. Educate patients on eye health and treatment options. Collaborate with ophthalmologists to provide exceptional patient care. Handle medical billing and coding tasks as needed. Support retail sales of optical products when required. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and vision. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures. Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes. Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately. Experience in sales or retail sales within a healthcare setting is a plus. Competence in managing medical records efficiently. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is advantageous. Knowledge of optical products and services is preferred.
