PART-TIME

Ophthalmic Technician. Professional customer service skills, team player and a friendly and enthusiastic attitude are required.

Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting the ophthalmologist and enhancing patient care. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations within our eye care practice and contributing t our mission of delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity assessments and tonometry in preparation for the doctor exam Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures by preparing patients and equipment Perform testing on patients with ophthalmology devices (photography, visual fields, biometry, etc.) Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner (scribe experience preferred) Provide appropriate education to the patients

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. EMR (Modernizing Medicine) experience preferred but not required Knowledge of ICD-10 coding helpful Scrub Tech experience preferred but not required Proficient use of technology required Previous experience preferred Training on-site Travel between Barefoot Bay and Vero Beach locations

Schedule:

8 hour shift Day shift 3 days per week
