Job Description

We, at Trinity Eye Associates, are a patient-centered optometry practice seeking an experienced Optometric Technician to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a highly clinical environment, values attention to detail, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Unlike high-volume practices, we focus on providing personalized care for patients with complex vision and ocular surface needs. We are looking for a technician who is proactive, eager to learn, and committed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Patient Care:
Perform patient workups and diagnostic testing Obtain patient histories and accurately document findings Workup and manage specialty contact lens patients (Sclerals, Ortho-k, etc.) Perform contact lens insertion and removal training Manage patient flow Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical equipment Assist providers during patient visits as needed Support ongoing patient communication and care coordination
Cross-Department Support:
Assist with dispensing glasses and contact lens orders Support front desk operations when needed, including patient check-in/out Collaborate with clinical, optical, and administrative team members
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 1 year of Optometric Technician experience, or similar clinical eye care role Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Proactive mindset and anticipates needs Enjoys learning and developing new skills Adaptable and willing to help wherever needed Thrives in a team-oriented environment Communicates effectively with patients and staff Committed to high-quality, compassionate care
