Job Description
Company Overview North Georgia Eye Associates has been a premiere eye care provider in North Georgia for over sixty years. Our locations include Gainesville, Braselton, Clayton, Cornelia, Hamilton Mill/Dacula and Cumming. With Board Certified Ophthalmologists and Optometrists, we can service all our patient's eyecare needs. Our surgery center was recognized as one of America's top ambulatory surgery centers by Newsweek in 2022. Our surgeons offer femtosecond assisted laser cataract surgery. North Georgia Eye Aesthetics offers oculoplastic and reconstructive services. We have a dedicated dry eye clinic which includes state of the art treatments including Lipiflow and IPL.. Whether your patients need an annual eye check or treatment for a specific eye condition, North Georgia Eye Associates can care for their entire family. Position Summary We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician/ Scribe that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services. Responsibilities This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.
Ophthalmic skills include:
Obtaining and documenting patient history Determining visual acuity Performing automated refraction Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR Providing patient services Maintaining equipment and instruments Qualifications- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
- Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
- The ability to recognize inconsistencies
Education:
