Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician/Assistant or Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team at Thomasville Eye Center . In this role, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately work up document patient encounters in real-time. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring that medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the medical office. Responsibilities Transcribe physician-patient interactions accurately during examinations and consultations. Maintain comprehensive medical documentation in accordance with established protocols and standards. Ensure that all medical records are organized and accessible for healthcare providers. Assist in the management of patient information systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies in documentation or patient information. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to enhance documentation accuracy. Support the medical office by performing additional administrative tasks as needed. Skills Proficient in medical documentation practices and transcribing physician notes. Strong knowledge of medical records management systems and processes. Familiarity with anatomy and physiology to accurately document clinical findings. Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy. Understanding of medical terminology relevant to various specialties within healthcare. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly within an clinic setting.
