Optometric Assistant

Arbor Place Eye Care in Woodstock is seeking an experienced Optometric Technician with prior optometry or medical assisting experience. Our practice is a busy, fast-paced clinic located inside LensCrafters at The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta , providing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and medical eye care for patients of all ages. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Perform administrative duties efficiently and accurately Assist with patient pre-testing and diagnostic imaging Support the doctor with routine clinical tasks Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing and eligibility Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams Perform visual acuity testing, non-contact tonometry, and fundus photography Assess and record patients' chief complaints Sell contact lenses and provide product education Check patients in and out while maintaining excellent customer service

Qualifications:

Previous experience in optometry or ophthalmology preferred Must pass a background check Familiarity with medical billing procedures Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service abilities Bilingual candidates preferred

Schedule & Hours:

The Woodstock office is open six days a week and closed on Sundays . Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work Saturdays .

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
