Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometric Technician, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline our optometry services. In this vital role, you will assist our optometrists in providing comprehensive eye care, ensuring patients receive a warm, professional experience from intake to exam completion. Your technical skills and compassionate approach will help create a welcoming environment that promotes eye health and vision wellness for all ages. Duties Greet patients warmly, perform patient intake procedures, and accurately document medical histories using electronic medical record (EMR) system. Prepare exam rooms with proper aseptic techniques, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Conduct preliminary testing such as visual acuity assessments and intraocular pressure checks to support the optometrist. Assist with optical procedures, including lens fitting and adjustments, utilizing optical experience to ensure proper fit and patient comfort. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Support front desk operations by managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance information, and handling retail sales of eyewear or accessories when needed. Qualifications Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically. Detail oriented and able to multitask. Works well within a team. No experience required! We are willing to train the right candidate!
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
