Job Description

Axis Vision Care is looking for a motivated Optometric Technician to join our growing team! Our technicians play a key role in providing exceptional patient care by performing pre-testing, specialty testing, and assisting doctors throughout the exam process.
What You'll Do:
Greet patients and prepare them for their eye exam Record accurate medical histories, medications, and vision concerns Perform diagnostic and specialty testing, including: Retinal imaging (Optos) OCT scans Visual field testing ERG (RetEval) Contact lens training and insertion/removal instruction Assist doctors during exams and procedures Maintain testing equipment and ensure exam rooms are patient-ready Support the team with other clinical or administrative tasks as needed
Who You Are:
Detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn Compassionate and patient-focused A strong communicator and team player Comfortable working with technology and multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior medical or optical experience is helpful, but we're happy to train the right person! High school diploma or equivalent required
