Full Job Description Job Description:

Eagle Vision One is seeking a dedicated and friendly Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Assisting with preliminary tests and examinations. Preparing patients for their eye exams by taking medical histories and conducting initial screenings. Performing diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, color perception, and peripheral vision tests. Instructing patients on how to insert, remove, and care for contact lenses. Maintaining and sanitizing equipment and instruments. Managing patient records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Learning about insurances and ability to provide accurate quotes. Helping to train future employees and positively impact the team culture. Providing excellent customer service to patients by addressing their inquiries and concerns.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in optometry, is advantageous but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records (EHRs). Punctuality and Reliability are required. Reliable transportation and ability to work in rotating locations (Eagle, Meridian, and soon to be Star). Must be able to work 40 hours per week, M-F, 8 hour shifts between window of 7:45am -5:30pm. No part time or seasonal positions available.
