Work Environment Modern, well-equipped office On-the-job training provided Opportunities for professional growth Flexible scheduling options Safe, supportive team environment Responsibilities Conduct preliminary vision testing, including but limited to visual acuity, visual fields, and autorefraction Obtain and document patient medical histories in the EHR system Assist with contact lens fittings and educate patients on proper insertion, removal, and care Perform diagnostic procedures such as tonometry and retinal imaging Support front desk operations, including scheduling, phone communication, and patient check-in/check-out Maintain accurate patient charts and records Assist with insurance processing, basic billing, and claims submission Provide excellent customer service and answer patient questions Assist patients with eyewear and contact lens retail selections Qualifications Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a healthcare/retail setting preferred but not required Familiarity with insurance billing and medical coding is a plus Basic math skills and comfort with retail sales helpful Experience working with pediatric patients is a bonus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Spanish-speaking ability helpful but not required Benefits Flexible scheduling On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Supportive, positive workplace culture Major holidays off Schedule Hiring either two part-time employees or one full-time employee (total of 40 hours per week) One weekday off (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) Must be available to work all Saturdays Must be available to work all Mondays If you're interested in developing your skills in both clinical and front-office roles while working with a dedicated eye care team, we encourage you to apply and join The Eye Pros team today.
