Job Description

Our thriving ophthalmology practice is currently seeking a testing technician to assist our healthcare team with patient exams. The successful applicant will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without allowing quality to be compromised. •This is an entry level position and you will be trained to do the testing.•Responsibilities Will be responsible for ophthalmic patients on the testing schedule. Will accurately perform the following tests: Visual Field exam, ERG, VEP, Fundus Photo, OCT G, OCT M, PHP and DAF. Spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct information to reduce errors. Will properly attach all test results to the appropriate patient chart. Alert the provider when charts are incomplete Will notify ophthalmic technicians if there are any problems getting accurate results. Will assist ophthalmic technicians and Optical Manager with any other duties as required during the work day in between testing. Will notify clinical manager when supplies that are needed for testing are running low. Any other administrative tasks as needed Must have reliable transportation Will need to travel to our Lombard office 2 Tuesday afternoons a month Qualifications and Education Requirements•Entry level position•will train the right employee
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Skills NextGen experience is a plus Polish speaking•
