Optometric Technician / Pre-testing Family run optometric practice in western suburbs since 1967. Busy downtown office specializing in medical eye care as well as the fitting of contact lenses and glasses. Friendly welcoming staff servicing a diverse patient population ranging from childhood through retirement.

ROLE:
day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to: frame selection / adjustment / dispensing / inventory neutralization of glasses and contact lens prescriptions trouble shooting glasses problems explanation of benefits of lenses / treatments to patients contact lens dispensing / training & instruction / follow-up / ordering / inventory prestesting (use of visual fields, tonometers, autorefractors, VA, fundus photography) knowledge of vision plans (VSP, Eyemed, Davis) answering phone / making appointments / opening & closing front desk
