Optometric Assistant/Receptionist

Optometric Assistant We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing exceptional patient care and quality eye health services.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting preliminary testing and assisting with patient examinations Obtaining and documenting patient medical and ocular histories Maintaining accurate patient records Assisting with scheduling, patient communication, and other administrative tasks Supporting daily office operations to ensure an efficient and welcoming patient experience Strong communication skills, professionalism, ability to multi-task and a friendly demeanor are essential. Experience in a healthcare or optical setting is preferred but not required. We are happy to provide on-site training for the right candidate. This position is primarily four days per week (Monday-Friday) , although occasional five-day workweeks may be required based on office needs. This position serves both of our office locations in McLeansboro and Benton. The selected candidate must be willing and able to travel between offices as needed.
