Part-Time Pre-Operative Technician Marion Eye Surgery Center Job Type:
Part-Time Position Summary:
Marion Eye Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Pre-Operative Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring a positive patient experience from check-in through the pre-operative process.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for surgical procedures by obtaining medical histories and recording vital signs. Complete pre-operative testing and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete. Review patient charts for completeness and communicate any concerns to the appropriate staff. Educate patients on pre-operative instructions and answer questions regarding the surgical process. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Assist physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff as needed. Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, surgery center, or clinical setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
